Ten Cool Camping Gadgets for your Dog

We’ve featured cool camping gadgets for you before , but what about for your dog? Here’s a few we really like.  (Click on any title for more information.)

1.  Ruffwear Quencher Cinch-Top Collapsible Dog Bowl

2. Kurgo Loft Hammock Seat Cover

If your dog likes sleeping by your feet when you’re at home, chances are he’ll want to do the same thing when you take him camping. And while he can always just snuggle by the side of your sleeping bag, the BarkerBag offers your pet a more comfortable alternative.

Made by Storms Design, it’s a dog-sized sleeping bag that zips into either side of the bottom half of yours, giving your canine pal his own warm and cozy place to rest right beside you. It’s made from the same materials they use on regular sleeping bags, so it’s soft, insulated, and a heck of a lot more comfortable than slumming it with nothing but the tent floor between your dog and the ground.

5.  Auto Pet Barrier

The genius Auto Pet Barrier keeps your dog secure in the back seat of your car while avoiding him crawling up and creating a driving hazard.  It installs instantly without any tools and looks great!

7.  This Neat Pet Crate Makes Your Dog Look Like a Nefarious Supervillan

We’re not entirely sure why, but the ei2 eiCrate makes an erstwhile wireframe cage look like a futuristic living pod. And it does that without fancy blinking lights, moving mechanisms, and bleeping spaceship noises. Seriously, the cage makes that dog sitting inside it look like a nefarious supervillain and it’s awesome.

Sure, this is still just a cage designed to keep your pooch from going wild and biting your boss on the leg the next time you have a party at home. With its dome-like shape and rounded doorway, though, the thing looks way cooler than any traditional cage. Throw on a plush cot, strap on a few amenities, and your dog gets his own space-age bachelor pad to call home.

8. The Portable Chair And Pet Quarters

This is the portable chair with an enclosed cozy compartment under the seat that keeps pets near. Eliminating the need to constantly watch a pet, the 2 1/4′ cu. pet compartment allows a dog to stand, turn around, and lounge in comfort while five mesh windows enable optimal air circulation. The pet compartment attaches to the chair legs via hook-and-loop fasteners and has a zippered door that allows you to escort a pet in or out of the compartment. The chair has a durable powder-coated steel frame with a tear-resistant 600-denier polyester seat and backrest. The chair folds to only 5 1/2″ wide. For pets up to 16″ long and weighing up to 20 lbs. Chair supports up to 265 lbs. Open: 30 1/2″ H x 23 1/2″ W x 18 1/3″ D. (10 1/2 lbs.)

9. The Pet High Chair

Satisfying a mutual desire for companionship, this high chair permits your dog or cat to accompany you at the dinner table. The high chair clips securely to tables up to 2″ thick and its height adjusts without tools to elevate your pet to near eye level. It has a frame of powder-coated 5/8″ steel tubing and its arms are rubber-coated so they will not mar table surfaces. By providing an alternative to sitting on your lap, running disruptively underfoot, or outright banishment, the chair assuages a pet (and its owner’s) frustration, and promotes more refined behavior. The chair’s 600-denier tan/brown nylon fabric cleans easily. Two tethers on the chair protect your dinner guests against any lapses in etiquette. Folds for convenient storage and travel. For pets up to 10 lbs. 10″ H x 12″ W x 9 1/2″ D. (4 lbs.)

10. Nantucket Somerset Pet Basket

The Nantucket Pet Bike Basket is a secure, comfortable, visually pleasing way to bring your small pet along for the ride. We offer this basket because we are confident it will hold up in the elements and keep your pet happy. Scarlett, featured in the photos, gets so comfortable she often takes a nap as she rides through the streets of San Francisco. The wire frame covered with a synthetic/faux-rattan weave, plus a wire lid on top keeps your pet secure. The easy-to-use Quick Release bracket allows you to remove the basket from your handlebars when you so desire.
